One of my favorite pastimes is spending quality time with my dog. Whether we're walking, cuddling or playing games, it's sweet time indeed. And I find that I gravitate toward other humans who share my affinity for animals. It's no surprise, then, that fellow animal lover Tina Marohn and I hit it off instantly. From the beginning of our friendship, we discussed joining creative forces to offer pet memorial packages including both of our art forms. Tina paints lovely pet portraits and I make fused glass pendants that contain the ashes of beloved pets. Several years later, the time is right and we have recently launched two pet memorial packages, each with a portrait and a pendant. [caption id="attachment_615" align="aligncenter" width="640"]
Two new pet memorial packages, each offering a portrait and a pendant[/caption] Working from photographs, Tina paints stunning likenesses of beloved pets, capturing the unique spirit of each one in a custom oil painting. I create custom fused glass pendants that incorporate the ashes of lost animal friends, using glass in colors chosen by the pet owner. Each package is lovingly created, beautifully wrapped, and designed to honor the memory of a dear best friend. If you know someone who is grieving the loss of a special animal companion, please allow Tina and me to help soften the blow. It would be our joy to honor the relationship by memorializing that special furry, feathered or scaly friend.
