Although these may look like any other fused glass pendants, they are actually wearable pet memorials! If you look closely, you will see a soft grey, grout-like dust between the colored glass tiles. That's no ordinary dust; it's the ashes of one of my beloved golden retrievers! I'd be honored to make a similar piece for you, using your own pet's ashes. Each piece of glass and fine silver foil in these pendants is painstakingly hand cut and arranged. Your pet’s ashes are respectfully added. Then the entire piece is carefully loaded into the kiln, where all those individual bits of glass, silver and ash are melted and fused into one lovely pendant.

In a process that takes an entire day and night, great care is taken to ramp up the temperature very slowly, fuse at just the right point, and anneal (cool) very slowly. All that time in the kiln minimizes large bubbles in the glass and ensures a very strong piece.

(Some small bubbles may be present in your finished piece – possibly the result of the minerals in the ashes reacting with the glass. If yours includes a bubble or two, please consider them a part of the beauty of your individual pendant, your pet’s ashes, and the colors you chose.)

If you purchase this pendant, I will mail you a COLLECTION KIT so that you can send me a small portion of your furry friend’s ashes. I will then make you a pendant similar to this one. Your pendant will come ready to wear on a shiny 18-inch sterling silver chain.

When you receive your collection kit, you will have a few choices to make. You get to choose your preferred glass colors from a list you will find in your kit. PENDANT SIZE: The glass measures approximately 1 1/2 inches tall (not including the bail) by 3/4 of an inch wide.

CHAIN LENGTH: The included sterling silver chain measures 18 inches long.

Although this glass pendant is totally waterproof, do not submerge the piece in water or the glue holding the bail on may be compromised.
